Content Architecture

Challenge

As an emerging SaaS business, TarraBiz was still building awareness and credibility in a competitive market. The challenge was to use content to clearly communicate its value while establishing a consistent, confident voice and tone across web, social, and email.

The goal was to make every interaction feel unmistakably TarraBiz (clear, credible, and useful) so that unfamiliar audiences could understand the product, see its value, and begin to trust the brand.

Before deciding what to publish, I looked at the problems behind the product.

TarraBiz wasn't simply selling scheduling, payment tracking, or business management features. Its audience was dealing with broader challenges: keeping operations organized, managing their time, tracking money, and running their businesses efficiently.

That distinction shaped the content strategy.

Simply put, the goal of the content was to address “How can a service business manage appointments without losing track of everything else?”

I translated those audience and product insights into content themes that could work across channels.

Product Education: Help audiences understand what TarraBiz does and how its features fit into their businesses.

Business Education: Create useful content around the operational problems service businesses encounter.

Productivity & Efficiency: Show how better systems can reduce administrative friction and help business owners focus on their work.

Trust & Credibility: Use useful, consistent, and human communication to make an unfamiliar brand feel more credible.

Conversion Content: Connect educational content back to TarraBiz and give audiences a reason to explore the product.

I translated the strategy into a structured content calendar so that content wasn't being created reactively.

The calendar connected:

Content pillar → topic → format → channel → objective → CTA

Approach

My approach was built around a simple principle:

Start with what the audience needs to know, connect it to what the product can solve, and use each channel for what it does best.

This meant creating content that could work together rather than treating web, social, email, and SEO as separate activities.

The result was a more strategic content ecosystem designed to increase discoverability, communicate product value, and build a clearer connection between TarraBiz and the businesses it was built to serve.

One Strategy, Multiple Channels

A key part of my role was adapting the strategy to each channel while keeping the overall brand message consistent.

Channel Strategic role Content approach

Website Explain & convert Product value, use cases, SEO-driven content

Social Discover & engage Educational, relatable, product-led content

Email messaging Nurture & retain Useful insights, product education

SEO Get discovered Search-led topics aligned with audience needs

The goal wasn't to publish the same content everywhere. It was to create a connected experience where each channel played a different role.

SEO & Discoverability

SEO was part of the strategy because building trust starts with being findable.

I looked for opportunities to connect TarraBiz's content with the problems and questions its audience was already searching for. Rather than creating content solely around branded product terms, the strategy considered the broader search landscape around topics such as:

  • Business operations

  • Scheduling and appointment management

  • Payment tracking

  • Productivity for service businesses

  • Business organization

  • Automation

  • Managing day-to-day business processes

Content Planning

Outcome

The work helped establish a more strategic and consistent content ecosystem for TarraBiz—one designed to do more than promote features.

The strategy connected audience needs with product capabilities across web, social, email, and SEO, giving the brand a clearer way to communicate its value while building familiarity and trust with potential customers.

What I learned

Good SaaS content doesn't start with the feature. It starts with the problem.

When you understand what the audience is trying to accomplish, content can do more than explain a product. It can help people recognize a problem, see a better way of solving it, and understand why your product belongs in that solution.
